About Me
Hello, my name is Jason Emsley, and I’m a consulting forester
based in Kittitas County, WA.
I have 18+ years of experience in sustainable forest management, having managed 100,000’s of acres of State forestlands. Additionally, I am a wildland firefighter with real world experience that gives me valuable insights into how fire impacts the landscape and communities. I have assisted 100’s of homeowners and small forestland owners in managing their properties to be more resilient to impacts from wildfire and to improve forest health. This includes measures to protect your structures and home from a wildfire when it happens.
Modern forest management aims to accomplish many different goals, and I have the experience to help you balance all of these in order to get the most out of your land. This includes: improving wildlife habitat; reducing wildfire hazard; enhancing recreational opportunities; improving ecosystem health; improving productivity and tree health; and if the opportunity fits with your other goals, generating revenue.
